Trumpets

The Feast of Trumpets

Leviticus 23:24 instructs God’s people to memorialize “the blowing of trumpets.” The Feast of Trumpets is an accumulation Feast, as trumpets are blown at all of God’s festivals. God calls His people to gather at all of His appointed times to remember the salvational acts that have been and will be done through Jesus Christ.

The Hebrew word translated here “trumpets” is “truwah” – the trump of alarm or of war. The Feast of Trumpets is the climax of thousands of years of struggle as man has rejected God. The fulfilling of God’s Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks, and Pentecost all come to fruition in the Feast of Trumpets. It pictures Jesus Christ as “Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords” as He returns to earth with His saints and His angelic army. (Rev. 19:6, 14-16) They have come to conquer, to take back the rulership of this earth from Satan and give it back to God. From the fulfillment of this day forward, the earth will be ruled in righteousness and in peace by Jesus Christ and by His saints, the firstfruits of God, on whom the “second death has no power.” (Rev. 20:4-7)

Welcome to the Kingdom of God.
